How it works

Our machining department carries out turning and milling to manufacture components, prepare surfaces before cladding and restore final dimensions after deposition. These operations are integrated with surface engineering and dimensional inspection.

Technical information

Applications and process selection

The process follows the component documentation and is coordinated with cladding, grinding and dimensional inspection where required. AESA accepts one-off components and international enquiries.

A lathe’s stated capacity does not establish component feasibility by itself. Workholding, access, useful length, material, tolerances and operations must be assessed. Milling and inspection require their own capability review.

Frequently asked questions

Which materials do you machine?

Representative materials include Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Inconel, AISI 316, AISI 410, AISI 420, graphite grades and solid Stellite. The precise grade and requirements are reviewed for the job.

What CNC turning capacity do you publish?

The published machine list includes a Puma CNC with a stated Ø 700 × 2,000 mm capacity, alongside other lathes with their own limits. Workholding and geometry must be confirmed for each job.

Can you manufacture from a sample without a drawing?

AESA offers reverse engineering with measurement, 3D design, STEP files and drawings. The sample and its functional requirements are reviewed before preparing manufacture.

Do you accept one-off components?

Yes. AESA accepts one-off components. Feasibility and scope are assessed against the component and its requirements.

How soon will you respond to an RFQ?

Our usual RFQ response time is three working days. Manufacturing or repair lead time is established in the quotation.

Do you work with customers outside Spain?

Yes. AESA works internationally. Please include the country of origin, component location and delivery requirements in your enquiry.

What documentation and traceability do you provide?

AESA provides certificates relating to the base material, deposition material and quality control for the job. Our integrated management application identifies the cladding batch applied to each component. Documentation and inspection requirements are reviewed with the order.

What should I include in an RFQ?

Include the component, known material, quantity, dimensions, service conditions and required outcome. Drawings can be sent to aesa@aportaciones-especiales.com. The website form does not support file attachments.
